The phlebotomy weekend workshop includes 8 hours of training, broken down into:

• 4 hours of classroom lecture, covering basic anatomy, safety protocols, equipment, and the steps of blood collection.
• 4 hours of practical instruction, with half the time spent practicing on manikins and the other half dedicated to live blood draws on real people.

By the end of the weekend, students will have enough knowledge and practical experience to sit for a national certification exam, although passing the exam is not required to seek employment immediately.

Additionally, this course is not accepted in California, so if you plan to work there, this may not be the right option.
